McCain and Abortion

Would it be right to elect a man for president who thinks that Roe v. Wade should be overturned?

(59% of the 2302.8006 class thought yes.)

Yes, I do believe it is right to elect him, only because we should be able to choose who we want to represent us. But personally, McCain would not have my vote, simply because he is taking away our personal liberty. Abortion should be left up to THAT person in the situation, not the government. There are plenty of regulations on abortions, so I think that it is a choice, we as Americans have to choose.

I would not vote for him because I think abortion should be legalized. A woman should have the right to decide upon her body, i.e. to have abortion option, just as to decide her marriage and career. It is a personal thing and the government should not hold the control over it. The personal liberties of US women can be limited if a candidate like McCain is voted for president and apply his policy.

His beliefs on abortion have nothing to do on whether or not we should elect him as president unless you are opposed to making abortions illegal. Then by all means vote for Mr. Hillary or Obama Bin Laden. It is obvious that he is just going to try to encorporate a little bit more ethics into a society which is currently corrupt and needs a little bit of help. I believe that he is currently the best qualified candidate, and even if you are pro-choice, you must still vote for a candidate which can give this nation in disarray some direction.

Yes! McCain is realy just in this sense. Once the child is two weeks old in mother's womb, he/she is already a living being and if abort at this time, the offence commited by someone short someone else and kill is not greater than that.
