I would say no. Although religions with a belief in God may have certain influence on the worshipers and make them become good people in society, it is not an important for everybody to worship God. First, in a free society, people should have their freedom to worship or not worship a God. Second, there are religions that have no God, for example Buddhism. A true Buddhist would believe in the theory of the Buddha, which teaches them how to achieve a better life without hurting other people, and to become helpful and considerate. So in a free society people should be able to choose to become a Buddhist. Finally, a person can also possess virtue by experiencing a good education (from family, school, friends, etc.) in their childhood or even during their lifetime. They can learn the moral standards of the community where they live and apply it in a normal way without the help of a religion.

I belive that in a free society it is beneficial that people do belive in god. Throughout the examples in activites it is thought that the thought of a god creates a sense of morality or an awareness of what is wrong from right. Being able to determine these wrongs through the influence of a god in society can benefit the general public as a whole by providing a safer enviorment and or order.
Yes it is, every society is built on laws. All laws are moral, and only morals which are right come from God All Mighty. God created the perfect laws and its only natural for man to rebel against Gods laws. If man created our society it wouldn't be a safe place to live.....
His law are what which we got our laws, every law in society is religious in its character. Its completely ridiculous to say that it is not important, because we as a free society have based our laws according to Gods law. Jesus Christ was the only Good man to ever walk the earth and i can prove it...just ask me how......
thats why we have laws and government to protect us from man because we are born in a sinful nature....we need Gods law to show us whats morally wrong, and if we didn't have Gods morals than who says I can't say what we call unmoral things moral....not man were sinful already you would just agree, because Gods law would not exist......
