Yes, it IS right to vote for her, at least have the option to vote for her. It is freedom of speech. I understand this comment hurt many people, but she is demonstrating one freedom we as americans have.
I would not say that it's not right to vote for her ONLY because she lied, but for sure it's not right that a candidate for president lied. If she lied with that who knows with what else she might lie in the future, past, or present. President should always be honest, because we need to be able to trust them (at least we should).
I do not know if that was her way to get new voters, but for sure it did not work.
