Marriage is just a title. I believe it is reserved for Men and Women being together. It is mostly a religious thing. I have nothing against gays. I have several gay friends. Gay people can share assets just like a married couple. I don't think that marriage should be in the gay society.
No to "gay marriage" If all American can think about the future, this will never hapen. America is one of the most respect country in the whole world, what exatly are we talking about; DIGNITY, INTEGRITY, CREDIBILITY, .... I think we are tend to live under law that reflect our value, if this is realy Amerians plan, I think we need a country like Saudi Arabia to be making law on moral for us.
Also, What about divorce, is it going to be legal for them too, I don't think two people of the same sex can ever have such filings like opposit sex do, there will be no baby which will be their responsibility as a parent. I think if someone never want to marry in life is far better than been a gay.
I believe what the bible says about Sodomm and Gomorrah, that was their sin to God, male having sex with male and female with female, and He distroy them. Also if God realy want homosexual or same sex marriage, there will never be an opposit sex in life.
Homosexuals are every bit of American as the rest of us. We are guaranteed the Pursuit of Happiness in our Declaration of Independence and to deny it to people because of their sexual orientation is essentially discrimination.
Much research has gone on over the past half century to figure out why people are gay; more and more research points to the explanation that being gay is not a choice but a combination of genetic, hormonal, and environmental conditions. This would mean that being gay was natural for some people (just as natural as a person’s skin being a certain color).
In my opinion, it would be unconstitutional to make the church recognize gay marriage. It is a matter that should be left up to the states or the churches. With that being said, homosexuals deserve the same treatment by the law as every other American citizen. Civil unions are something that should not be denied to people because of sexual orientation and if a church chooses to recognize gay marriage, government has no role preventing people from achieving their unalienable rights (and certainly not in denying people these rights in our national constitution). In short, gays have the right to be married by the law; however, the church bears no responsibility whether or not they should marry homosexuals.
